For our client, we are seeking a Director, Real World Data Strategy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This leader will shape the strategy for real-world data use across research and development, with a strong emphasis on applying AI and advanced analytics to unlock practical business and scientific insights.

The role will partner with senior stakeholders to translate emerging data science capabilities into actionable approaches that support innovation, exploration, and better decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep knowledge of the external real-world data ecosystem, and the ability to influence complex organizations in a highly regulated industry.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $197,800 – $239,681 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead AI innovation within the real-world data strategy team by integrating advanced analytics into decision-making.
• Identify and champion AI-enabled data opportunities to enhance real-world data exploration.
• Translate AI and data science advancements into practical applications for research and development.
• Model AI-forward thinking and build frameworks that strengthen team capability.
• Develop and communicate a business-driven real-world data exploration strategy aligned with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in health research, life sciences, data science, or a related field; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in real-world healthcare data, data strategy, or consulting.
• Experience applying AI and advanced analytics in real-world data or life sciences contexts.
• Proven ability to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders in complex organizations.
• Deep expertise in real-world data sources and the external real-world data ecosystem.
