Job summary

Mattress Warehouse is seeking a strategic Real Estate Director to lead nationwide store development and portfolio optimization. You will identify and evaluate new locations, negotiate leases, manage renewals, relocations, and store closures, and partner with executives to align real estate with growth goals.

Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and relationship-building skills are essential in a fast-paced, growing retailer.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience in lease negotiation and renewal.

Responsibilities

Lead real estate strategy and execution for new store development.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new retail locations.
Oversee lease renewals, relocations, and store closures.
Optimize the existing retail portfolio to support business performance and long-term growth.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, and commercial real estate brokers.
Support market analysis, demographic research, and site selection decisions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders throughout the real estate transaction process.
Manage real estate reporting, analytics, and strategic planning.
Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to real estate team members.
Partner with executive and cross-functional teams to align real estate initiatives with company goals.
