Panera Bread is seeking a Director of Real Estate in Newton, MA (moving to Weston, MA in July 2027) to lead Panera’s real estate initiatives for bakery-cafe expansion across franchise partners, non-traditional partners, and Company development.

The role directs a team of Real Estate Managers, shapes market strategy, guides LOI and lease negotiations, and ensures alignment with brand standards, financial performance, and ROI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years in a senior real estate function within a best-in-class retailer, preferably fast casual.
• Executive presence with senior leadership presentation skills.
• Experience in site selection, negotiations, and portfolio management.

Responsabilités

• Develop regional real estate strategies to support Panera’s expansion goals.
• Lead Real Estate Managers and present to senior leadership with data-driven analysis.
• Guide franchisees through LOI and lease negotiations and development approvals.
• Oversee site pipeline, budgets, forecasts, and reinvestment planning.
• Ensure brand standards and franchise alignment across projects.
