Job summary
Rocky Mountain Communities seeks a Director of Development – Real Estate in Denver to lead affordable housing projects from conception through lease-up, overseeing financing, entitlements, design, construction and operations with a focus on timely delivery and budget adherence.
Reporting to the VP of Real Estate, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and partners, build external relationships, and mentor junior staff while advancing our mission to provide housing for Colorado
Qualifications
- Technically proficient in affordable housing development including finance, entitlement and design
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of affordable housing developments from planning to lease-up
- Build community support and coordinate with stakeholders
- Supervise architects, contractors, consultants and development team members
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Identify acquisition opportunities and evaluate project feasibility
- Oversee negotiation of major financing documents and agreements
- Report progress to VP Real Estate and CEO/Board
- Mentor junior staff and maintain external partnerships
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices
