The candidate will manage portfolios, budgets, and timelines while guiding cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in project management/leadership in a pharmaceutical environment, ideally R&D.
• Experience in contracting and/or procurement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong influencing skills and relationships across functions.
• Ability to navigate complex business decisions.
• Strategic thinker with results orientation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading people in a matrix organization; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization and business transformation initiatives across Innovative Medicine R&D with timely delivery.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and cost-saving objectives.
• Manage project portfolios, budgets, resources, timelines, and KPIs.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders for alignment and adoption.
• Lead change management and continuous improvement for operational effectiveness.
• Lead contract simplification initiatives with Legal, Procurement, GSINC, and global functions.
• Lead and develop teams in a matrix environment; ensure high performance.
• Support integration with GSINC and interface with Legal and Procurement.
• Oversee all contract simplification initiatives.
