Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior leader to serve as the Pump Stations and Pipelines Business Class Director. This role directs cross-functional teams, coordinates with market sectors, and leads risk management and QA for complex water projects.

The successful candidate will mentor other leaders, build industry relationships, and guide strategic initiatives to enhance HDR’s water conveyance programs across multiple regions. A long-term commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect for technical leadership roles.
• Experience leading diverse teams and working with HDR leadership across functions.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through reviews and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards and techniques.
• Staff projects with qualified personnel and manage resource allocation.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and leadership.
• Engage with industry organizations to advance WTEM capabilities and future offerings.
• Mentor and direct Business Class leaders to drive HDR's mission.
