Job summary

HDR is seeking a highly experienced leader to head the Pump Stations and Pipelines Business Class. You will direct technical capabilities, coordinate with related groups, manage risk and steward project quality across pump stations, pipelines, and tunnel design programs.

You will mentor leaders and drive strategic planning, collaboration, and client engagement. You will build industry presence, participate in proposals, and align activities with HDR’s employee-owned culture and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Professional registration for core service oversight is required.
• Experience leading diverse teams and working with HDR directors.
• Commitment to quality, HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, groups and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through reviews and advisory services on projects.
• Drive quality assurance and coordinate with the Quality Manager across areas.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards and techniques for service quality.
• Assign qualified staff to projects and enable effective worksharing.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors for the business class.
• Lead applied research engagements to advance WTEM capabilities and standards.
