Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools that allow customers to focus on their mission and respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. The Director leads the Project Management and Solution Integration team, delivering NextGen 9-1-1 projects, including large Statewide, Regional, and major Municipal Public Safety Applications such as ALI Location Services, Emergency Call Handling, and Next-Generation 911 Core Routing solutions.

Job Description

Note: Candidates may reside anywhere in the US with access to a major airport.

Overview:

This leadership role oversees Project Managers in delivering NextGen 9-1-1 Location, Routing, and Call Handling solutions. The role requires staying current on industry developments, understanding the competitive environment, and leading the organization in innovative directions. The Director collaborates across teams, provides feedback and development guidance, and fosters a customer-focused approach, anticipating and responding to customer needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating integrity and building sustainable customer relationships.
• Assessing staff capabilities and building diverse teams.
• Prioritizing and organizing work to meet objectives, using financial data for planning.
• Making timely, high-value decisions and challenging organizational norms.
• Providing development opportunities and holding teams accountable.
• Encouraging ownership, innovation, and effective communication.
• Building effective relationships with stakeholders and continuously improving business processes.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience or 15+ years managing complex deployments, preferably in Public Safety.
• Experience with NextGen 9-1-1 solutions and industry relationships (APCO, NENA, etc.).
• Strong project management and leadership skills, PMP or CAPM preferred.
• Ability to influence at all levels, negotiate effectively, and travel extensively (50%).

Salary Range: $145,500 - $272,800 USD, commensurate with experience.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and extensive project and people management experience, or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; employer sponsorship not available.
