Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking a Director of Project Controls to build and lead the controls team within the EPC organization for large-scale power projects. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, contract/cost controls, and document controls across a diverse portfolio, delivering accurate reporting and governance for investors and lenders.

You will drive front-end planning, manage Primavera P6 schedules, oversee cost forecasting and budgeting, and ensure document controls are robust.

Qualifications

15+ years in project controls across planning, scheduling, cost/contract, and document controls.
Experience on GW-scale or $1b+ projects through construction.
Proven people-management experience across multiple control disciplines.
Deep expertise in scheduling (Primavera P6) and earned value/cost control.
Experience with document control systems (e.g., Procore) at portfolio level.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the Project Controls function under EPC; define team structure, roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths across planning, scheduling, contract controls, and document controls.
Hire, onboard, mentor, and manage controls staff as the portfolio scales.
Set performance standards, workload allocation, and development paths for the team.
Own integrated project schedules and governance for baseline control and progress measurement.
Provide executive reporting on cost, schedule, contract status, forecast, and risk.
