Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director- Project Controls to lead the delivery of a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical project. The role focuses on cost controls, risk management and schedule integrity, guiding project controls teams and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful client delivery.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in project controls, with 2+ years leading teams in a consulting setting, and excels in schedules, cost control, estimating, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a construction-related field.
• Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant project controls experience.
• 2+ years managing high-performing project control teams in a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of multiple contract delivery methods and the merits of each.
• Experience with schedules, cost control, estimating and risk management.
• Experience implementing and managing a project controls system for a major capital project.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Establish the high-level strategic direction of project controls (cost, risk, schedule).
• Oversee the project budget approval process.
• Lead risk workshops to identify risks, assess likelihood/severity, define mitigations.
• Lead cross-functional input for project controls deliverables.
• Mentor and motivate project teams to achieve goals.
• Prepare and participate in weekly progress meetings and reporting.
• Develop and submit project gateway documentation and reports.
• Develop guidelines for project level chartering and partnering.
• Review Project Master Schedule and critical path elements.
• Develop and approve project budget, cash flow and financial plan.
• Oversee risk management processes for the project.
• Develop the PEP work plan and project execution framework.
• Review and submit project implementation plans for approval.
• Manage estimating and lifecycle costing, including contingency methods.
• Develop change management and mitigation strategies throughout the project.
• Ensure quality control and performance against baselines.
• Establish diversity compliance, monitoring and reporting metrics.
• Provide status updates on metrics, forecasting, and issues.
