Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks a dynamic Project Controls Director to lead standards for documents, data governance, and analytics, maximizing cost and schedule performance. The role drives BIM and reality capture, develops AI-based techniques, and shapes an agency-wide innovation framework.

You will engage stakeholders, identify KPI drivers, and translate data insights into actionable improvements with clear success measures.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in engineering or related fields with five years of relevant project planning experience; two years in admin/managerial capacity.
• Alternative: high school diploma and nine years in planning/expediting engineering projects, with two years in admin/managerial capacity.
• Equivalent education/experience credits may be counted toward meeting the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of standards for project documents, data governance, and retention requirements.
• Oversee advanced data analytics development, including AI-based techniques for project insights.
• Establish BIM and reality capture policies; influence vendor contract requirements.
• Drive innovation roadmap and KPI-driven improvement plans across capital delivery.
