Job summary

Imperial Brady, a leading North American distributor, seeks a Director of Program Management in Jersey City to convert strategic priorities into funded, tracked initiatives. You own end-to-end governance, build business cases with FP&A, and lead cross-functional workstreams across enterprise programs.

This role oversees risk management, EBITDA tracking, and executive-ready communications to steer major initiatives and enable AI-enabled productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years in program or project management, corporate strategy, or PE-portfolio operations.
• Experience with cross-functional initiatives carrying P&L or operational stakes.
• Strong communication with senior executives and leaders.
• Proficiency with PMO tools (Smartsheet/MS Project/Asana/Power BI/Tableau).
• Familiarity with AI-enabled planning, reporting, productivity tools; PMP/Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own program governance for 1–3 major enterprise initiatives with charter, milestones, and stage-gate reviews.
• Build business cases with FP&A, including investments, benefits, and timelines.
• Manage cross-functional workstreams and steering committees, resolving interdependencies.
• Maintain risk and issue logs and drive mitigation to resolution.
• Track EBITDA impact and benefit realization; ensure audit-ready reporting.
• Prepare executive and board-level presentations to support decisions.
• Partner to integrate automation and AI productivity initiatives into plans.
• Support IPO-readiness processes, including controls and KPI infrastructure.
• Foster alignment with business units and functional leaders for execution.

The Director, Program Management is the execution backbone of the Office of Strategy & Transformation, converting board-level strategic priorities into structured, funded, tracked, and delivered initiatives. This person owns end-to-end program governance for one or more enterprise initiatives and is the trusted operator that business unit leaders rely on to keep cross-functional work on track.

Compensation Range: $180,000 to $220,000 + Bonus

Salary range reflects the Jersey City, NJ market & compensation may vary based on geographic location

You Will

• Own program governance for 1–3 major enterprise initiatives (e.g., M&A integration, network/footprint optimization, commercial excellence, margin improvement, digital enablement) including charter, workplan, milestones, and stage-gate reviews
• Build and manage business cases in partnership with FP&A, including investment, expected benefits, and timelines for benefit realization
• Manage cross-functional workstreams and steering committees, ensuring alignment, addressing interdependencies, and resolving issues
• Maintain risk and issue logs and drive mitigation actions through resolution
• Track EBITDA impact and benefit realization, ensuring results are accurate, audit-ready, and aligned with FP&A reporting
• Prepare executive- and board-level presentations and materials to support key business decisions
• Partner with Business Process Excellence teams to integrate automation and AI-enabled productivity initiatives into program plans
• Support IPO-readiness initiatives, including process documentation, controls, and KPI infrastructure
• Build alignment and strong partnerships with business units and functional leaders to drive successful execution

YOU HAVE

• 5–9 years in program/project management, corporate strategy, management consulting, or a PE-portfolio operations/value-creation role; distribution, industrials, or B2B supply-chain experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives with real P&L or operational stakes — not purely IT project management
• Strong financial acumen, including business case development, P&L understanding, and benefit tracking in partnership with FP&A
• Experience working with senior executives and business leaders, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with PMO/project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Power BI, or Tableau
• Comfortable using AI-enabled tools to support planning, reporting, and productivity
• PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certification is a plus
