Job summary

Sesame Workshop is seeking a Director of Production Technology to lead architecture, modernization, and reliability across its production and post-production ecosystem in a hybrid New York setting. You will translate creative needs into scalable tech, own major infrastructure initiatives, and guide technology standards with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in production or post-production technology or related field.
• Experience with production and post-production systems and workflows.
• Ability to translate creative and production needs into technical workflows and train teams.
• Experience managing capital budgets and prioritizing investments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and evolution of end-to-end production workflows.
• Manage post-production shared storage, editing software, and related infrastructure upgrades.
• Formalize studio, virtual, and live production procedures and plan upgrades.
• Evaluate emerging production technologies including AI tools and define departmental stance.
• Shape long-term strategy for media asset management, archive, and distribution systems; build QC pipelines.
• Own administration of production collaboration platforms (Frame.io, Signiant, LucidLink).
• Oversee capital budget planning for production technology purchases and document changes.
• Establish standards for reliability, security, and business continuity across systems.
