We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. We are currently seeking a Director, Product Management & Data Transformation to join our Streaming Product & Operations team in our New York, NY location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Data Product Strategy & Transformation Define and execute a multi-year Data Product and Analytics strategy aligned with AMC Global Media’s streaming business objectives. Lead the transformation from fragmented reporting and instrumentation practices toward a governed, scalable, and trusted data ecosystem. Establish product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for data products, analytics capabilities, KPI frameworks, and measurement infrastructure. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to embed data strategy into the broader Streaming Product roadmap. Champion a culture of accountability, measurement, and data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • KPI Governance & Measurement Own the product strategy for AMC's KPI framework and measurement ecosystem. Ensure consistent metric definitions and reporting across platforms, brands, and teams. Drive adoption of KPI ownership throughout the Product organization, leaning into product insights.
  • Data Governance & Quality Partner with Data Engineering to establish a contract-first approach to instrumentation, event taxonomy, and data quality. Lead development of governance processes supporting semantic definitions, instrumentation standards, and data stewardship. Establish frameworks for data validation, monitoring, audit processes, and issue remediation. Co‑lead cross‑functional governance forums that drive accountability for data quality and reporting consistency. Advocate for data quality as a product feature rather than an operational afterthought.
  • Instrumentation & Analytics Platform Strategy Partner with Engineering teams to define instrumentation requirements, event taxonomies, and platform measurement standards. Own the business roadmap for analytics platforms and supporting tooling. Ensure instrumentation supports reliable measurement of customer engagement, retention, monetization, content consumption, and operational performance. • Data Literacy & Organizational Enablement Help product managers, designers, engineers, and executives effectively leverage data to inform decisions. Build training, documentation, and operating mechanisms that increase data fluency across teams. Establish repeatable KPI reviews, business performance discussions, and product health assessments. Promote self‑service analytics and democratized access to trusted business metrics. Serve as an internal thought leader on measurement strategy and product analytics best practices.
  • Stakeholder Leadership Act as the primary business owner for Data Product initiatives across Streaming Product. Present roadmap progress, data maturity goals, KPI health, and transformation outcomes to executive leadership. Build alignment across Product, Data Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, CRM, and external partners. Manage and mentor product managers and analysts supporting data initiatives. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
