SUMMARY

Actionable data is at the heart of the decision-making process for all customers. We are looking for a visionary Director of Product, Data & Analytics to lead our data strategy, enhance analytics capabilities, and drive insights that shape the future of our product offering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Define and drive the vision for deriving value from data at MasterControl, including but not limited to oversight of data offerings such as self-service analytics, data export and import, data governance, and AI-driven insights (in collaboration with MasterControl’s AI/ML product team), ensuring alignment with business goals.
  2. Lead the development of enterprise-level data offerings that help MasterControl customers leverage their data across multiple application instances, business units, and regions while adhering to regulatory policies.
  3. Clearly and effectively communicate the vision and strategy for data products to the C-suite and leadership across all departments.
  4. Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to build scalable data solutions.
  5. Ensure high standards for data quality, integrity, and accessibility across the organization.
  6. Identify and prioritize key data initiatives, balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic goals.
  7. Champion data-driven decision-making by enabling teams with the right tools, processes, and insights.
  8. Stay ahead of emerging trends in data, AI, and analytics, ensuring our company remains competitive.
  9. Manage and mentor a team of product managers working within the data and analytics domain.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focusing on data platforms, data products, and analytics.
  2. Proven expertise delivering data, reporting, and analytics products and solutions to customers.
  3. Deep understanding of data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and analytics tools (e.g., Confluent, Sisense, Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, dbt, Airflow, etc.).
  4. Experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) is a plus.
  5. Proven track record of building and scaling self-service analytics and data products.
  6. Strong technical fluency—able to work effectively with engineers and data scientists.
  7. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
  8. Passion for using data to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.
  9. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  10. Experience as a Product Manager working directly on GxP-compliant solutions with a Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or other Life Sciences manufacturing company or related software development is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the phone or online meetings, and in e-mail.
  2. Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time.
  3. Occasional travel is required, typically to attend leadership meetings, interact with customers, present at user group meetings, etc.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
