Job summary

Opto Investments, Inc. seeks a Director of Private Markets Operations to lead execution, onboarding, and capital events across private market offerings.

You will design scalable workflows, manage complex vendor relationships, and partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to scale the business. In this senior role reporting to the Head of Private Market Operations, you will mentor analysts, drive process improvements, and own performance metrics ensuring accuracy and client

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial services or investment operations.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day execution of private market activity across funds and the combined lifecycle from launch to wind-down.
• Coordinate subscription, capital call, and distribution activity with the administrator; review calculations and investor records for accuracy.
• Manage subscription documentation, investor records, and compliance workflows; monitor and reconcile investments with GP/manager follow-up.
• Oversee fund administrators, custodians, and third-party providers to meet client expectations on quality and turnaround.
• Handle the most complex or high-stakes operational situations directly.
• Lead the operating workstream for new fund launches from term sheet to go-live; build scalable playbooks.
• Translate terms in LPAs, PPMs, subscription documents into operational requirements and controls.
• Design, document, and evolve operating processes, SOPs, and SLAs for growth.
• Define and track KPIs for workflows and fix bottlenecks before crises.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing servicing for enterprise client engagements and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to design scalable workflows and automation enhancements.
• Project-manage cross-functional initiatives end-to-end and mentor analysts as the team grows.
