Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Alternative Investment Services Private Equity Portfolio Accounting Operations Director in IM operations to support a global private equity program across primary fund investing, co-investing and secondaries.

In this advanced specialist role, you'll lead processes, controls and relationships with external service providers, drive valuation review, and oversee complex structures with multiple vehicles while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of private equity or real estate investment accounting experience.
• Knowledge of hedge fund accounting/derivatives or Investran is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio accounting for multiple funds and vehicles.
• Serve as SME, manage processes, risks and improvements.
• Monitor investor activity and ensure settlement accuracy.
• Coordinate with third parties and postings to the general ledger.
• Prepare carried interest calculations and waterfall analyses.
• Support valuation processes and internal valuation discussions.
• Assist with capital calls, distributions and ad hoc requests.
