Job summary

OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC in Anaheim, California, seeks a Director of Event Management, Special Events, to lead planning and execution of private, corporate, and premium events across the OCVIBE campus.

You will direct a team of full-time and part-time professionals, translate client visions into flawless productions, and partner with Sales, Culinary, Operations, and Finance to maximize revenue and brand impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years in event management or hospitality operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience leading venue event management operations across multiple properties.
• Proven success delivering revenue-generating private events (corporate, social, premium).
• Ability to lead and motivate both full-time and part-time teams.
• Strong financial acumen with labor budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for hospitality, client service, and premium experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution strategy for private and special events across venues.
• Develop frameworks, timelines, and workflows for high-volume, high-touch events.
• Partner with Sales to support client acquisition and execution against contracts.
• Ensure events meet client expectations, brand standards, and revenue goals.
• Oversee district-wide event equipment inventory, maintenance, and CapEx planning.
• Directly manage senior Event Managers and on-site execution staff.
• Build staffing models balancing service and profitability.
• Drive operational excellence and compliance with SOPs, safety, and accessibility.
• Elevate client experience and brand stewardship across all events.
