Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director of Precision Medicine to lead diagnostic product development supporting precision medicine assets. The role oversees immunohistochemistry, immunoassay, PCR and NGS for tissue and blood-based diagnostics, uniting biomarker strategies with clinical and regulatory milestones.

The position requires an advanced degree and 5–7 years in assay/IVD development, with experience in oncology biomarkers and cross-disciplinary leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical degree required (MSc, PhD).
• 5–7 years in assay and IVD development including analytical validation, clinical development, manufacturing, regulatory submission (US and global).
• Experience in oncology biomarkers and diagnostic business development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead precision medicine initiatives on asset development and translational medicine teams.
• Develop strategies for IVD programs including immunohistochemistry, immunoassay, PCR and NGS.
• Chair precision medicine matrix sub-teams to integrate biomarkers into strategies.
• Provide strategic direction for diagnostic business development including partnerships and transactions.
• Coordinate internal and external teams to meet milestones (technical and regulatory).
• Participate in commercial planning and medical strategy for diagnostics.
• Represent BMS as a subject matter expert to authorities and scientific meetings.
• Disseminate precision medicine knowledge to build organizational capability.
