As Director, Pre-Sales - Strategy & Growth, you will report to the Vice President of Strategy & Operations and will be a key player in driving Bidgely’s market share growth. You and your team will play a pivotal role in Bidgely’s sales process by interfacing with customers and designing solutions to meet their needs as well as using market trends to guide product innovation and marketing at Bidgely.
Drive Revenue Growth
Collaborate with the NA Sales team to help deliver on revenue targets by providing strategic opportunity support as a subject matter expert (SME) for Bidgely’s current and future customers
Work with the NA sales/marketing teams to strategize pricing and packaging, develop winning proposals, and build client strategies.
Provide oversight in completing and submitting RFI/RFP submissions as part of the core response team
Interface directly with Bidgely customers in presentations, meetings, interviews and demonstrations
Influence Long-term Company Strategy
Apply deep understanding of the regulated utility market, and how Bidgely can play a disruptive role in scaling artificial intelligence across the market
Use market and customer knowledge to develop long-term strategies to guide the product, technology, and marketing functions on innovation and product positioning
Collaborate cross functionally to conceptualize solution enhancements that will help penetrate accounts / markets / regions; Serve as the SME both internally and externally
Collaborate with a variety of cross-utility stakeholders and effectively influence the buying teams to embrace and adopt optimal Bidgely solutions
Evangelize Bidgely via thought-leadership webinars, white papers, case studies, and presentations at external utility industry conferences
Maintain Operational Excellence in Strategy and Growth
Develop and measure KPIs for operational excellence and ensure that they always meet pre-established targets
Identify and implement process improvements so as to enable the company to scale
Hire, manage, mentor a team of subject matter experts in the S&G team and ensure that team members meet the highest standards
Guide team members in developing proposals, RFPs, and client presentations
Own and oversee standard content for proposals, pricing, contracts, and RFPs
Ensure effective and efficient solution mapping all the way from presales to contract signing
At least 6+ years presales, sales, solution design, and/or program management experience in the utility or renewable energy space and knowledge of the regulated utility market
At least 4+ years experience in a solutions engineering or pre sales related position
At least 2+ years experience working in SaaS
Strategic, big picture, out-of-the-box thinking with ability to connect the dots and distil megatrends into product and sales level strategies
Experience developing & delivering client-focused solutions to anticipate and exceed customer needs
Proficient in reviewing, editing, and overseeing proposals, contracts, client-facing presentations and overseeing standardized solution packages/content
Skilled in contract negotiation, contract execution, scope alignment & solution mapping
Adept at managing and motivating a team of individual contributors
Experience in achieving KPI-driven operational excellence
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including an executive level
Proven ability to multitask, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Agile working mode and self starter with quick turn around capabilities
