Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking an Associate Director in Engineering Research Administration Services to lead pre-award proposal development and budgets for college research initiatives. You will guide faculty through sponsor requirements and coordinate with internal stakeholders to secure funding in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, thorough knowledge of federal guidelines, and the ability to manage a small team while ensuring compliance across the proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years in related work, including 2 years of managerial experience.
• Experience with pre-award administration, budgeting, and sponsor submissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pre-award proposal development and budgeting in collaboration with investigators.
• Reads RFPs and ensures alignment with sponsor requirements and institutional policies.
• Leads a team of at least two staff and manages workload during peak deadlines.
• Coordinates subrecipient budgets and approvals with collaborating entities.
• Ensures compliance with COI, research security, and applicable federal regulations.
