• Master's degree or equivalent training in a related field.
• Minimum seven years of directly job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-award operations and develop policies to ensure timely proposal submission and contract negotiations.
• Develop short and long-term goals and management strategies for pre-award activities.
• Provide leadership to the research administration team and monitor performance for accuracy and customer service.
• Interpret and apply policies/regulations and assess impact on sponsored activities.
• Advise faculty and staff on proposal strategy, sponsor guidelines, and institutional requirements.
• Oversee research contract review and negotiation, and sign agreements with delegated authority.
• Collaborate with offices to ensure alignment of pre-award operations and sponsor compliance.
• Develop and deliver research administration certification and training programs for university personnel.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
