Job summary

Harvard University seeks a Director for Postdoctoral Affairs to lead the Office for Postdoctoral Fellows at the Blavatnik Institute (HMS). You will design programs, supervise staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with many offices to enhance postdoc experiences and career development.

You will mentor postdocs, advance training, and build partnerships across Harvard Medical School and affiliated institutions, while guiding data systems and policy efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the Office for Postdoctoral Fellows' mission to serve ~600 postdocs.
• Provide strategic leadership for postdoctoral training at HMS/HSDM.
• Solicit feedback from the Advisory Committee.
• Design and deliver comprehensive postdoc programming and outreach.
• Open programming to HMS non-ladder faculty and affiliate postdocs.
• Develop data, systems, and policies with HMS Faculty Affairs.
• Support the postdoctoral community by assessing needs and grant support letters.
• Lead career coaching and development activities.
