Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Northeast-based Director for the Post-Acquisition Dispute Advisory Services practice within the Deal Services group. The role focuses on leading engagements, drafting accounting submissions, and managing client relationships across purchase price disputes and related advisory work.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience, CPA/CFE or CFF, strong GAAP knowledge, and willingness to travel. A Master’s degree is a plus and MS Office proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited university; Master’s a plus.
• 7–10 years in post-acquisition dispute consulting, neutral accounting arbitrations, and reading/interpreting purchase agreements.
• Big 4 or national firm experience in litigation support and forensic accounting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA and CFE or CFF certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel to clients and other RSM offices.

Responsibilities

• Leading engagements and coordinating with the post-acquisition dispute resolution team.
• Drafting and developing written submissions to accounting arbiters and analysis of closing statements.
• Reviewing purchase agreements for accounting-related language and disputed items.
• Managing client relationships to secure additional services.
• Developing agendas, leading client calls, and supervising staff and projects.
• Promoting the practice through internal and external networks and assisting with business development.
• Mentoring talent and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
