Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Director, Portfolio Program Management (PPM) to partner with Asset Strategy Leaders and co-chairs to develop asset strategy and drive global execution across the portfolio. You will lead high-impact programs with a strategic enterprise mindset.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in new product development, strong collaboration across functions, and proficiency with enterprise project-management tools. This role may include council oversight and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field required.
• 8-12 years in pharma, including active participation in cross-functional product development.
• Advanced knowledge of global drug development and launch processes.
• PMP certification helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Strategic partnership with Deliverable Team Chair and PM/Planner to drive asset strategy.
• Develop and align deliverables’ global strategy and execution across indications.
• Manage cross-functional plans, timeline, budget, and milestones with PMT alignment.
• Lead governance at each stage gate with Asset Leadership for approvals.
• Identify and monitor project risks; drive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings, agendas, and minutes; track actions.
• Coach and mentor team members; support training on governance and tools.
