Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States seeks a Director, Infrastructure & Platform to lead a team that builds secure, reliable environments and a single golden-path delivery pipeline that product teams rely on for dependable software delivery. This role runs the platform as a product—defining backlog, roadmap, service levels, and governance.

You will partner with Cyber Security and four product teams to ensure security by default and continuous improvement across cloud, on‑premises, and edge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 7+ years of professional experience, or equivalent combinations.
• Minimum 6 years in Infrastructure & Platform Engineering or IT.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Infrastructure & Platform team with clear objectives and standard work.
• Own the team's performance and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Identify and remove obstacles, coaching problem-solving at the point of work.
• Mandate a single golden-path delivery pipeline adopted by all product teams.
• Operate the platform as a product with backlog, roadmap, SLAs and governance.
• Partner with Cyber Security to build security by default and address DevSecOps needs.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
