Job summary

St. Gregory Recovery Center in Bayard, Iowa, seeks a Plant Operations Director to oversee maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance across two facilities: Ivory Plains Recovery Center in Adair and St. Gregory Recovery Center in Bayard.

You will lead a team, coordinate with leadership, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and drive efficient facility operations to support client care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or technical field; 5+ years in maintenance or facility operations preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance and ensure environmental and safety standards.
• Lead safety and security programs and emergency management.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors.
• Plan and monitor maintenance budget, reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Ensure regulatory inspections and documentation are up to date.
• Coordinate with leaders to identify issues and report progress.
• Manage snow removal and staff transportation during winter.
