Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters in St. Louis, MO seeks a Director of Gift & Estate Planning to lead the promotion and securing of planned gifts within the division.

This full-time exempt role focuses on developing gifts, coordinating with legal and tax considerations, and advancing the division's mission. The successful candidate will manage donor cultivation, coordinate with attorneys and donors, and collaborate with corps officers and volunteers to meet annual goals, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years proven experience in development/related field with comprehensive knowledge in planned giving.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires working knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, database and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and secure deferred gifts from prospects and donors within Salvation Army policies.
• Work with planned giving director to establish annual goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement donor cultivation and stewardship using moves management.
