Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior leader to head Plan Consulting, delivering ERISA-compliant retirement plan document services for 401(k) and 403(b) plans. You will lead a 10-15 person team across multiple locations, drive strategic objectives, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

You will champion innovation, track performance with analytics, and collaborate closely with Legal, Implementation, Sales, and Relationship Management to ensure seamless execution.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience across multiple locations.
• Proven track record in process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Strong executive communication and customer management skills.
• Experience with risk mitigation and performance management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Plan Consultants across 10-15 staff.
• Drive erisa compliance and pre-approved document services for 401(k)/403(b).
• Define strategic objectives and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Use metrics to monitor performance and mitigate issues.
• Coach multi-site teams and collaborate with Legal, Implementation, Sales, and RM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 10-15 Plan Consultants supporting IRS pre‑approved document creation and ongoing ERISA compliance for 401(k) and 403(b) plans
• Champion innovation and execution excellence in Plan Consulting
• Define and drive strategic objectives for Plan Consulting
• Own the end‑to‑end Plan Consulting service model ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery
• Use metrics and analytics to monitor performance and implement mitigation strategies
• Coach and develop a high‑performing, multi‑site team of Plan Consultants
• Navigate and resolve complex blocking issues
• Partner closely with Legal, Implementation, Sales, and Relationship Management to ensure seamless delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, preferably across multiple locations
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, operational efficiency, and escalation management
• Strong executive communication, presentation, and customer management skills
• Experience with benchmark development, performance management, and risk mitigation
• Deep knowledge of ERISA compliance and retirement plan document services preferred
• ASPPA or related industry designation preferred
