We are seeking an experienced PL Actuarial Director to lead, mentor, and develop a team of actuaries and analysts. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to drive strategic insights, collaborate across multiple teams, and influence key business decisions.
T his position is an in- office role located in West Bend , WI . No remote or Hybrid opportunities for this position are available at this time .
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
- Lead & Develop a Team – Manage and mentor a team of actuaries & analysts, fostering their growth and professional development.
- Collaborate & Influence – Work closely with our PL division leadership to develop and execute business strategies.
- Drive Pricing Strategy – Oversee PL Actuarial pricing strategy creation and implementation as well as product development support. In addition, partner with our Data Science & Predictive Analytics team to develop and refine pricing models.
- Innovate & Improve – Lead the development of standards and practices for the team.
What We’re Looking For
- 15 years of continued growth as a fellowed (FCAS) actuary including at least 5 years of leadership experience with a demonstrated passion for developing talent and fostering a high-performing team.
- Proven experience in actuarial pricing within the P&C industry.
- Comfort with a variety of actuarial software and other data analytics tools.
- Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to drive initiatives forward.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry trends affecting the insurance sector.
