Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT, seeks a Director of Preclinical PKPD Modeling to lead translational PKPD strategies early in drug discovery. You will manage a skilled Ridgefield team, drive QSP and PBPK approaches, and partner across Discovery Research to improve human efficacious dose predictions.

This senior role requires strong leadership, deep PKPD expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• PhD with 6+ years in Pharmacometrics/Preclinical PKPD Modeling
• Masters with 8+ years in Pharmacometrics/Preclinical PKPD Modelling
• Professional degree with 7+ years in Pharmacometrics/Preclinical PKPD Modelling
• Experience in drug discovery teams preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Ridgefield PKPD Modeling team and align with global objectives
• Lead and develop a team of up to 5 PKPD scientists; recruit and mentor
• Drive development of state-of-the-art PKPD modeling approaches (empirical, mechanistic, QSP)
• Represent PK/PD modeling in multidisciplinary discovery project teams
• Adopt new modeling methodologies and translational strategies with global teams
• Deliver high-quality PKPD modeling outputs to inform decision-making in discovery
• Present research at meetings and publish; ensure compliance and fiscal responsibility
