Job summary

Lam Research in Portland, OR is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering for the Tualatin Pilot Manufacturing team. You will lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization responsible for developing assembly and test methods for transition to the Global Factory Network, influencing product design decisions from concept through high-volume production.

In this role, you will drive pilot engineering deliverables, accelerate product transitions, and scale digital manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years in manufacturing/operational roles.
• Experience building teams during growth or transformation.
• Background in electronics or similar high-complexity industries.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to influence via data and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead ME organization to develop assembly and test methods for transitions to Global Factory Network.
• Champion manufacturability across product development and release processes.
• Drive pilot engineering deliverables and accelerate product transitions.
• Scale digital manufacturing and AI tools within teams.
• Bridge safety, cost, and cycle-time needs with product design.
