Job summary

Premier Health seeks an experienced Director of Physician Relations to lead physician employment matters across the Premier Physician Network. You will act as the trusted HR partner for physician employment issues, guiding investigations, policy adherence, and workforce strategies to support physician engagement and retention.

You will collaborate with executive leaders, legal counsel, operations, and physician leaders to ensure compliant practices, mitigate risk, and foster a culture of trust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of HR experience, healthcare preferred.
• Physician relations expertise.
• Strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, and Title VII.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead physician employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, investigations, and behavioral management.
• Serve as the primary HR partner for physician-related employment issues.
• Collaborate with physician leaders, operations teams, and legal counsel to assess risk and determine actions.
• Support physician engagement and retention initiatives through workforce management practices.
• Direct and coordinate sensitive physician investigations from intake through resolution.
• Lead physician behavioral modification processes, including planning, facilitation, documentation, and follow-up.
• Coordinate physician sign-on bonus requests and approvals.
• Partner with Legal and HR leadership on employment risk mitigation and compliance matters.
• Lead the Academic FTE allocation and approval process.
• Provide strategic consultation to physician and operational leaders on complex issues.
