Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. seeks a senior leader to manage Physician Administration operations across MSMC’s multi-site network.

The role directs employed physician practice operations, aligns with center objectives, and leads a team to ensure compliant, efficient processes. Responsibilities include budgeting, quarterly reviews with senior finance leadership, and collaboration with Revenue Integrity to optimize billing and collections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
• 10 years of experience in hospital/practice operations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates quarterly operating review meetings with employed physicians and Sr. VP of Finance to review physician practice financial statements, billing/reimbursement & volume trending activity.
• Maintains objectives and strategy for the department aligned to Medical Center objectives and strategies.
• Directs and coordinates all employed physician practice operations for MSMC.
• Ensures compliant billing and collections through collaboration with Revenue Integrity and Revenue Cycle teams.
• Designs and equips new offices with staffing, schedules and system integration.
• Oversees physician practice staffing recruitment and onboarding.
• Ensures practice compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Develops analyses/budgets for management on ongoing and new projects.
• Cultivates relationships with external entities for new volume/services opportunities.

Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitates quarterly operating review meetings with employed physicians and Sr. VP of Finance to review physician practice financial statements, billing/reimbursement & volume trending activity.
• Maintains the objectives and strategy for the department and ensures they are linked to the Medical Center's objectives and strategies.
• Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all employed physician practice operations for MSMC.
• Ensures consistent communication and review with Revenue Integrity manager and Revenue Cycle deparments to enable appropriate & compliant billing & collections.
• Responsible for the design, furnishing, staffing, schedules and system integration of new offices.
• Oversees physician practice staffing recruitment and onboarding to insure levels are adequate to operate appropriately.
• Ensures practice compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
• Provides analyses/budgets to AVP regarding ongoing and new projects.
• Develops relationships with external entities for the purpose of identifying additional volume/services/income opportunities.
• Oversees and develops Physician Administration management staff.
• Works proactively with other departments toward strategic initiatives and goals.
• Develops content along with management team for monthly meetings with Office Coordinators to share information and create educational opportunities.

• Education Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience; Master's Degree in related area is preferred.
• Experience 10 years of experience in hospital/practice operations.
