Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Director of Process Engineering, Physician Billing to partner with physician billing leaders, translate workflows into clear technical requirements, and guide Product and Engineering through development and implementation.

You will lead discovery, process mapping, documentation, testing, and implementation, while managing and mentoring team members. Travel up to 25% is required and you will influence financial performance through improved physician billing operations.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of healthcare operations experience.
• Experience leading and managing associates.
• Ability to translate complex workflows into clear requirements for product/engineering.
• Strong written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with physician billing leadership to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate operational needs into clear buildable requirements for Product and Engineering.
• Lead discovery, process mapping, and requirements documentation for physician billing solutions.
• Analyze data to identify root causes, trends, and opportunities for automation.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
