Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Horsham, PA or Raritan, NJ seeks a Director, Pharmacovigilance Alliance Contracting and Management to lead PV contract strategy and governance across global and local partnerships. You will manage a PAC team, drive negotiation of PVAs, and partner with Legal to maintain templates, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on alliance execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, MD, PharmD) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 8 years within a drug safety environment with Pharmacovigilance operational responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, industry standards, and PV alliance governance.
• Proven people leadership experience, including talent development, coaching, performance management, and fostering high-performing teams.
• Ability to negotiate Pharmacovigilance Agreements and safety-related contractual terms.
• Experience leading strategic alliances, governance activities within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry
• Proven success establishing governance structures, managing executive-level stakeholder relationships, and driving performance across strategic partnerships.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, negotiation, and execution of PVAs for global and local scope.
• Oversee the global PV Alliance Contracting function and PAC team.
• Support alliance governance and partnership management for PV collaborations.
• Advise senior leaders on PV contractual obligations and governance.
• Collaborate with Legal to manage PV templates and regulatory alignment.
• Identify and manage PV contract and alliance risks with escalation.
• Build partnerships to optimize alliance performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation in PV contracting.
