Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Central Florida is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to lead nursing and patient care within the Surgical Services division, ensuring quality, safety and efficient service delivery.

This role partners with the management team and medical staff to meet organizational goals, oversees credentialing and staff development, and drives performance metrics while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
• Current Florida nursing license is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and CNOR certifications preferred; specialty certification required within one year of assuming the position, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate the quality of nursing/patient care, financial stability and service productivity.
• Maintain close working relationship with the management team and medical staff to meet system goals and pillars of the departments supervised.
• Oversee professional development and morale of the service teams.
