UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Central Florida is seeking a Director of the Emergency Department to lead nursing and patient care teams, oversee service quality, and align clinical operations with organizational goals. The role requires a graduate degree and a Florida nursing license, with 3–5 years of leadership experience.

BLS is preferred, and candidates must read, write, and speak English while driving morale and performance across the ED.

Responsibilities

UF Health is currently seeking a Director, ED. This role will Coordinate and evaluate the quality of nursing/patient care, financial stability and service productivity. The Director is responsible for the professional development and morale of the service teams and has a close working relationship with the general management team and the medical staff to effectively meet system goals, organizational goals and all pillars relating to the departments he/she oversees.

• Graduate Degree - required
• Bachelor’s Degree - required
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
• Must have current Florida Nursing License
• BLS for Healthcare providers preferred
• Specialty certifications within 1 year of position, as appropriate
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Maintains / Exceeds all Specialty educational requirements
• Experience Required
• 3-5 years previous experience in a leadership position
