Deckers Brands in Portland, OR is seeking a Director of Design for HOKA Performance Footwear. You will lead the creative vision across Racing, Road, Trail, Training, and Hiking, guiding a team of designers from concept through commercialization.

The role requires 10+ years in footwear design with leadership experience and a collaborative approach across product, development, engineering, CMG, and brand teams to deliver distinctive, high-performance footwear.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, product design, or related field.
• 10+ years of footwear design experience across racing, road, trail, training, hiking, or outdoor categories.
• 3+ years leading footwear designers and teams.
• Strong experience leading footwear from concept through commercialization.
• Experience partnering across design, product, development, engineering, merchandising, and brand teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the creative vision for HOKA Performance Footwear across multiple categories.
• Create distinctive product concepts, design languages, and franchise strategies.
• Translate athlete insight and market trends into compelling product experiences.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing design team through leadership and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Color, Material, Graphic, and Digital teams to deliver cohesive stories.
