Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a PhD-level Research Scientist to serve as Scientific Director for BMAP and Technical Supervisor for the Nemours Genomics Laboratory. Lead collaborations, design studies, and advance genomic and biobank projects across Nemours and partner institutions.

You will oversee assay development, regulatory compliance, quality systems, and test menu expansion while mentoring researchers and bridging translational science with clinical care.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with strong molecular biology and genomics expertise.
• Experience leading collaborative research and grant support.
• Familiarity with CAP/CLIA or regulated molecular testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and consultation across Nemours and collaborators.
• Oversee development and validation of NGL/NGL tests and BMAP resources.
• Support study development, experimental design, and translational projects.
• Mentor investigators, trainees, and laboratory personnel.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality management of assays.
