AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL, is seeking a Payroll Operations Leader to establish and maintain internal controls for payroll, coordinating with Shared Services, HR, and Corporate Payroll. You will prepare the annual payroll budget, monitor variances, and drive process improvements across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years of managerial payroll experience in a healthcare or shared services setting, with CPP/CCP-PPS preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Job Description:

Establishes and maintains effective internal controls and procedures for payroll operations. Coordinates and liaises with Shared Services leadership, facility leadership, Human Resources, and Corporate Payroll. Prepares and monitors the annual budget for payroll operations, analyzing variances to adhere to financial objectives. Participates in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. Identifies and implements system modifications and process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency. Coaches, counsels, and develops payroll staff to ensure effective team performance. Achieves superior customer satisfaction by working directly with internal and external customers. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in payroll management and attending educational workshops. Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs. Other duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all payroll activities. Provides leadership and support to payroll team members, including guidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Manages and leads payroll staff activities to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Field of Study:

• in Accounting, Finance or related field
• in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience:

• 7+ managerial experience [Required]
• 9+ payroll experience [Required]
• Experience in a shared service or healthcare organization [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Pricing Professional (CCP-PPS) [Preferred]
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$128,585.60 - $239,158.40
