Player 15 Group seeks an experienced Director, Payroll to oversee multi-state payroll operations and drive department initiatives. You will lead multi-cycle payroll, ensure tax compliance, and partner with People & Culture, Finance and IT to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

You will also mentor payroll staff, produce payroll reports, and safeguard confidential information. This role requires leadership and deep payroll expertise to support the organization’s financial integrity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and payroll accounting.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems; Dayforce preferred.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Payroll, to join our team. In this role, you will support all facets of payroll operations for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

Your Role on the Team

• Lead accurate and timely multi-cycle, multi-state payroll processing for Player 15 Group
• Ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax and labor laws, including tax filings, deposits, withholdings and reporting
• Oversee payroll systems, PTO accruals, pay card programs, audits and related documentation
• Partner with People & Culture, Finance and IT to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll processes
• Lead, coach and develop Payroll team members
• Prepare payroll reports and provide support for payroll accounting, tax and general ledger functions
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company financial information

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field preferred
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, payroll accounting and HRIS/payroll systems; Dayforce experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage cross-functional relationships
