Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Director, Patient Access (Hybrid) in the US to oversee hub programs and patient access strategy. The role requires leading cross-functional teams, managing large vendor partnerships, and aligning with brand strategies for US launches.

Responsibilities include budget ownership, quarterly reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, while collaborating with legal and commercial teams to shape program features and implementation across the US market.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related commercial functions with patient support and market access experience.
• Experience designing and implementing patient support programs that improve the patient journey.
• Strong vendor hub management and multi-stakeholder operations experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, leadership, and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic framework for patient access hubs for specialty products and US launches.
• Lead hub operations and continuous improvement to support patients in a complex market.
• Partner with brand teams to address patient access barriers and optimize programs.
• Manage large vendor/hub partnerships and PAP referral rules with the Patient Assistance Foundation.
• Oversee annual strategy development, budgets, and quarterly business reviews for the COE.
• Collaborate with legal/regulatory to ensure program compliance across initiatives.
• Guide engagement with US Commercial teams to shape program features and vendor setup.
