Job summary

Kendo Holdings, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Director of Packaging Development for Fenty to create high quality, cost-effective packaging. This role combines concept ideation, component development, packaging testing and manufacturing execution.

You will lead a small team of 2-5 packaging developers, collaborate with Marketing, Creative and Operations, and drive sustainability initiatives while ensuring timelines, quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Packaging Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in package development/engineering.
• Proven track record in cosmetics packaging.
• Strong GMP knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Leadership experience managing 2-5 packaging developers.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical, aesthetic & cost aspects of packaging design.
• Oversee projects of all types (sellable, non-sellable, samples).
• Execute feasibility on design, COGS, manufacturing timing.
• Identify suitable suppliers based on project requirements.
• Oversee packaging testing, analyze results and risk.
• Lead packaging tooling efforts and line trials.
