Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Principal Scientist/Director in the Value & Implementation Outcomes Research group in the United States.

This role focuses on value evidence plans and real-world evidence activities for oncology programs, including protocol design, data analyses, and cross-functional collaboration to support market access and payer requirements. The candidate will lead studies, develop AMCP and Global Value Dossiers, and interact with HTA agencies, country affiliates, and clinical

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, DrPH, ScD or PharmD with fellowship in health services research, outcomes research, epidemiology or health economics.
• 4+ years post-doctoral experience or 7+ years post-master's in life sciences conducting NIR and generating Value Evidence.
• Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Value and Implementation (V&I) plan with Medical Affairs.
• Help achieve reimbursement and market access for programs and indications.
• Assess drivers and barriers to reimbursement and inform clinical, regulatory, payer, marketing and evidence strategies.
• Design studies, author protocols, develop data collection tools, and prepare reports/publications.
• Manage study contracting, budgets, vendor relationships and ensure SOP/compliance across regions.
