Job summary

Merck seeks a Principal Scientist/Director for Value & Implementation Outcomes Research to lead real-world evidence programs and AMCP/HTA dossiers for oncology products. You will coordinate across medical affairs, development, biostatistics and market access to shape evidence for payer decision making and patient access.

The role requires a PhD/Doctoral degree with extensive experience in outcomes research, health economics or pharmacoeconomics, and a strong oncology background.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree or equivalent in health services/outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, health economics or related field.
• Minimum four years post-doctoral or seven+ years post-master experience in life sciences focused on value evidence.
• Experience in oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver value and implementation (V&I) plans and evidence generation activities.
• Support reimbursement and market access for programs and indications.
• Design studies, develop protocols and data collection instruments; manage budgets and vendors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, development, biostatistics, market access and country teams.
