Director, Organic Social Growth & Performance Intelligence

About Us

Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans; a global partner network with approximately 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, players associations, teams, colleges, college conferences and retail partners, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 200 exclusive athletes; and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail stores. Our more than 22,000 employees are committed to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience and delighting sports fans globally.

The Role

This is not a traditional analytics hire. We're looking for someone who genuinely lives inside social platforms, not just someone who measures what happened from a third party dashboard, but someone who understands why content moves and can predict what will before it posts. You'll own how we measure content performance, build the systems we use to score impact, and keep us ahead of every platform shift before it hits the talking heads in your feeds.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver timely, actionable insights that the team acts on same-day
  • Monitor platform algorithm changes in real time and translate them into immediate content recommendations
  • Partner directly with creative and strategy leads to connect performance to short term creative execution enhancements and broader strategy decisions
  • Architect and manage a custom impact scoring system for earned media campaigns that goes beyond vanity metrics and measures real content velocity and effectiveness outside of our owned channels
  • Own our content tagging taxonomy end-to-end; every post categorized and structured for scoring (the tablestakes stuff)
  • Build automated and scalable reporting frameworks that tie back to business goals (brand, content, commerce, partnerships, etc.).
  • Lead recurring performance readouts for social team and cross-functional partners, synthesizing trends and observations into actionable insights.
  • Stay current on social platform analytics changes, new measurement methodologies, AI-driven analytics tools, and innovations in the industry.
What We’re Looking For
  • +8 years of experience in roles where you’ve been responsible for social analytics and performance readouts, delivering real insights on the work, preferably within sports, creator media or entertainment
  • You follow algorithm update discourse on X, creator forums, and various corners of the internet before it hits trade press - and you have opinions about it from what you’re seeing in your own channels
  • You've built or contributed to a proprietary scoring or measurement model, or have experience building things to solve for complex problems
  • Understanding of how organic social ladders up to brand, engagement, and business goals
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex insights to senior stakeholders with simplicity

Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
