The Supply Chain Specialty Division is a cross-functional operations organization within Walmart’s supply chain network that enables the execution and performance of diverse, high-complexity business lines—including areas such as hardlines, optical, print, and specialty distribution—by aligning field operations, transportation, engineering, and support functions under a unified structure. The division focuses on delivering consistent, scalable operational processes across multiple facilities and business models, with an emphasis on standardization, execution discipline, and continuous improvement, while partnering closely with strategy, people, finance, and compliance teams to ensure strong associate experience and reliable customer outcomes across the network.

  • Develop and lead training strategy and AWI/Best Way execution to drive adoption and capability building.
  • Build control mechanisms to monitor compliance, performance, and sustainability of initiatives.
  • Evaluate operational performance, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement solutions.
  • Provide dotted-line leadership to implementation partners (SCIL, Implementation Managers) to drive alignment and execution discipline.
  • Lead division governance mechanisms to track outcomes, manage risks, and ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business strategies are effectively translated into executable plans.
  • Support talent strategy by developing teams, building capability, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    What you’ll bring…
  • Experience leading large-scale operations, implementation, or transformation programs.
  • Strong ability to align strategy, execution, and operational processes across multiple functions.
  • Proven experience managing complex portfolios, including prioritization, resource allocation, and interdependencies.
  • Expertise in driving standard work, governance, training strategies, and process discipline.
  • Ability to influence and lead through cross-functional and indirect teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to evaluate performance, forecast outcomes, and drive improvements.
