Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• 8+ years of risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, or audit.
• 5+ years in financial services or regulatory environment experience.
• 3+ years of people management.
• 3+ years of consulting with and presenting to senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and challenge risk-taking across Card, Retail, Commercial, Auto and Enterprise services.
• Implement and govern the Operational Resilience Framework across Capital One with regulatory alignment.
• Respond to crises and incidents, keeping leadership informed and actions appropriate.
• Understand emerging resiliency risks and ensure readiness across First Line of Defense.
• Advise as a thought partner on evolving business continuity methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across organizations to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate program activities and deliverables for team and stakeholder alignment.
• Convey complex technical concepts clearly in written and verbal form.
• Lead data-driven, risk-based analyses from problem identification.
