GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Director, Oncology Translational Medicine, Clinical Biomarkers to lead biomarker and translational strategies supporting late-stage oncology assets. The role is based at Stevenage with a planned relocation to Cambridge, UK by early 2029.

You will drive biomarker programs, collaborate with Clinical Biomarker Executive Director and disease-area teams, and align biomarker plans with clinical development and regulatory strategies.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. or equivalent with 7+ years of drug development experience in oncology biomarker translational research.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and biomarker plan development for regulated assays.
• Clinical trials experience and collaboration within clinical study teams.
• Experience translating pre-clinical data to human trials and biomarker-driven decisions.
• Experience with diagnostic development and regulatory interactions.

Aufgaben

• Drive design, alignment, and execution of biomarker strategies for late-stage oncology.
• Validate biomarker strategies for clinical‑phase programs including pharmacodynamics and proof‑of‑mechanism.
• Lead tumor‑specific Biomarker Matrix teams and coordinate with disease strategy groups.
• Represent Translational Medicine to integrate biomarker decisions into study designs.
